Swollen belly: the treatments

If these episodes of tense belly and bloating are repeated regularly, a doctor's opinion is necessary.

The solutions and treatments will be specific to each case, depending on the origin of the problem. And before considering a treatment, a precise diagnosis must be made by the doctor, because the treatments will depend on the cause of course.

Here we detail the solutions related to the most common origin of a bloated, swollen stomach, namely an irritable colon. Alongside a change in certain dietary rules - the first solution to implement, we can consider other solutions, especially if these changes of a food order are not enough.

Probiotics

It is necessary to restore an intestinal flora, by reseeding good bacteria. It is advisable to take capsules or sachets of probiotics (Bion 3 transit®, Ergyphilus Confort® from Nutergia, lactibiane® from Pileje ...), 15 minutes before breakfast.

The tea to adopt: AFCCC (Anise + fennel + caraway + coriander + cumin)

This mixture of plants is active in case of a belly. Rather than taking capsules, you can use this infusion very pleasant taste.
Just make a preparation equal parts of the 5 ingredients (or ask the pharmacist), and infuse 10 minutes in ½ liter of boiling water 1 tablespoon of the mixture. To drink after meals.

The trick plus: add 1 to 2 teaspoons of the mixture in the dishes (rice, fish ...).

Musculotropic antispasmodics

These are drugs, like trimebutine, alverine: they have a local action on spasm directly on the muscles they promote relaxation. These treatments have less side effect than anticholinergic antispasmodics.

Gastric bandages may be proposed. These are medications that are taken orally and which aim to protect the digestive mucosa and limit the formation of gas in the digestive tract, and therefore to act against an inflated stomach.

A gas absorber: coal

Coal is the reference product when swollen belly. It acts locally by absorbing the emission of intestinal gases.

Namely: effective, this treatment can nevertheless promote constipation. To avoid this side effect, it can be combined with sorbitol.

Tip : Soak 10 prunes in a glass of water for one night, and drink the water when you take the charcoal.
Charcoal Belloc®, Carbolevure®, Elusanes®, Fleurance Nature ...

Treat stress

Stress promotes dysregulation of digestive and hormonal secretions (bile, insulin). Digestion may be disrupted in case of nervousness or permanent anxiety. Because of the very large number of nerve fibers in the intestine (we do not say that besides that the intestine is our 2nd bowl), stress can significantly influence digestion.

To fight against these effects, one can resort to the phytotherapy (SIPF of hawthorn, passionflower or spasmine Jolly ...), or make regular cures of magnesium glycerophosphate, or even consider heavier treatments based on anxiolytics, if necessary against an inflated belly. Or finally consider the help of a psychologist.

Back pain: the causes

The causes of back pain can be multiple. They can, of course, have physical origins , but also be linked to stress . Physical causes To understand the causes of back pain, one should not consider the spine alone, but also all that surrounds it: tendons, ligaments, nerves, and muscles.
