Suicide: Who to get help with?

If you have been thinking about suicide lately - or if you know someone who may be suicidal - do not hesitate to ask for help!

There are many possibilities to seek help when a situation seems hopeless and deadlocked: professionals can help you see the situation in a different light and find solutions - even anonymously if that is easier. For example, you can contact:

  • a psychologist, a psychiatry specialist or a psychotherapist,
  • the medical and psychological center of your sector,
  • your doctor,
  • a hospital psychiatric emergency service,
  • listening and other emergency calling services,
  • specialized associations or aid agencies.

In case of emergency, do not hesitate and call the emergency immediately, stating that the person in question is suicidal!
