Better understanding of AD / HD in adults

This is the "fashionable" diagnosis of the moment: ADHD. We talk about it in the media, at the psychiatrist's and in the schools. Attentive Deficit Disorder with or without Hyperactivity is now diagnosed and treated more and more frequently.

North American studies speak of a percentage of children with 10%! As a consequence of this trend, diagnoses are increasing and studies are increasing. And the knowledge of this disorder is growing. in the child. Because in the adult, the same can not be said, even when the requests for consultation of adults "inattentive" or "hyperactive" grow conspicuously.

Each of us has a friend or acquaintance a little "space", with changing moods, champion of procrastination or ultra-active in all circumstances. Perhaps it would be even us? But beware of prejudices. AD / HD is not just a "bad" temperament. It is a real disorder that causes suffering and exposes to various complications: psychological, professional, emotional, etc. And the worst thing about all this is that it can go unnoticed or even be confused with another pathology.

It is for this reason that it urgently needs to be better known, in order to favor the diagnosis of the people concerned and to improve their insertion and quality of life.

Scientific literature to support, I will try to answer the questions that one asks oneself: Does the AD / H persists with the age? Are there any adult forms, with no history in childhood? What are his symptoms, and what is his treatment? Without forgetting the advice of hygiene of life, to initiate in priority! Good reading !
