Sweating can become very disabling in some people when it becomes excessive ( "hypersudation" or "hyper-transpiration") and when this highly developed sweat is localized on the hands, feet or under the armpits, it is called " hyperhidrosis " .
A consultation with a doctor is necessary to detect a specific disease and treat it appropriately.
In addition, there are treatments to remedy pathological sweating:
It is a method of sending ions under the skin using a very weak electric current.
Iontophoresis is often recommended to remedy excessive sweating of the feet.
It is done in a dermatology practice.
Botulinum toxin or Botox®
And yes, Botox ® is not effective on wrinkles! In the form of local injections, it is used by doctors to treat hyperhidrosis, by blocking sweat glands, responsible for perspiration, thanks to a chemical substance: botulinum toxin.
The products used for aesthetic purposes are Vistabel®, Dysport® and NeuroBloc®.
In principle, Botox® has no official indication in the treatment of hyperhidrosis.
The results are quickly visible, but not definitive: the effects of this treatment disappear in fact after 3 to 6 months, and it is then necessary to renew the injections.
Caution: this treatment must be performed by an authorized doctor.
