Under normal conditions of use, the appearance of slight discolouration during first application, and of erythema and peeling after a few days of treatment is likely.

During the first few weeks of treatment, a sudden, unadorned increase in desquamation may occur in most patients. This desquamation usually lasts one or two days if the treatment is temporarily interrupted.

The patient may also temporarily present pruritus, facial oedema, dermatitis or rash.

As with other benzoyl peroxide preparations, allergic contact dermatitis may occasionally occur.

There is also a risk of photosensitization.

Healthcare professionals declare any suspected adverse effects via the national system of declaration: National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM) and the Network of Regional Pharmacovigilance Centers - Website: www.ansm.sante.fr.
