Indication

Symptomatic treatment of iterative vertigo with or without a cochlear sign.

Dosage BETASERC 24 mg Tablet Box of 60

Dosage

This form is reserved for patients requiring a dosage of betahistine 48 mg per day. In other cases, use a lower dosage.

BETASERC 24 mg tablet will be given at the rate of 1 tablet 2 times daily, preferably in the middle of the meal.

Children and adolescents

The use of BETASERC 24 mg in children and adolescents under 18 years of age is not recommended due to the lack of data on safety and efficacy.

Elderly

Because of the limited data available, betahistine should be used with caution in the elderly.

Renal failure

There is no data available in patients with renal insufficiency.

Hepatic insufficiency

There is no data available in patients with hepatic insufficiency.

Duration of treatment

The duration of the recommended treatment is 2 to 3 months, to be renewed eventually, according to the evolution of the disease, in continuous or discontinuous courses.

Administration mode

The tablets should be swallowed without being chewed with a glass of water.

Against indications

· Hypersensitivity to any of the components of this medicine.

· Peptic ulcer thrust.

· Pheochromocytoma.

Betaserc side effects

Most common side effects

· Gastralgia, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, diarrhea.

More rarely :

· Headache, asthenia, drowsiness, hypersensitivity reactions.

Exceptionally:

· Thrombocytopenia, elevation of transaminases.
