Indication

This drug is indicated in adults, adolescents, children, infants and newborns from 1 month in treatment:

Scabies due to Sarcoptes scabiei infestation

· Autumnal trombidosis (red mullet or chigger).

Against indications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients listed under Composition or benzyl alcohol or benzoic acid (derived from the active substance).

Ascabiol side effects

Local events:

· Sensation possible of immediate cooking.

· Eczematisation possible, particularly increased in the case of iterative applications.

· Possibility of rare cutaneous reactions to type of generalized acute pustulosis.

· Possibility of hypersensitivity reactions.

Post-scabiosal pruritus may persist for up to four weeks after the end of treatment, which is generally considered an allergic reaction to dead parasites and not necessarily indicative of treatment failure.

General events:

· Convulsions:

o in case of accidental ingestion.

o in the case of a cutaneous passage: the systemic risk increases according to the importance of the cutaneous lesions and in the child of less than 2 years.

Reporting of suspected adverse reactions
