Indication

Local anesthesia of healthy skin, for example:

· Before venous or subcutaneous punctures,

· Before superficial, instrumental or laser skin surgery.

Anesthesia of the genital mucosa in adults, for example:

· Before superficial surgery: biopsy or excision of lesions (instrumental or by laser beam).

· Before needle infiltration with local anesthetics: at the dosage of 5 to 10 g for a duration of application of 5 to 10 minutes.

Local anesthesia of leg ulcers requiring long and painful mechanical debridement.

Against indications

· Congenital methoglobinemia.

· Porphyries.

· Known hypersensitivity to local anesthetics of the amide-bonded group or any other component of the cream.

Adverse effects Anesderm Ge

Cutaneous or mucosal application may induce erythema or local pallor. These cutaneous reactions are benign, always reversible and do not prejudge the quality of the anesthesia obtained.

Very rarely, pruritus or local burning sensation.

Exceptional allergy to lidocaine or prilocaine.

Methemoglobinemia, especially in children under 3 months, and in case of overdose.

Rare cases of discrete local lesions at the application site such as purpura or petechiae have been reported, especially after application times longer than the recommended duration in children with atopic skin lesions or molluscum. contagiosum (see Warnings and Precautions section Special warnings).

Linked to the presence of castor oil, risk of eczema of contact.
