Indication

Treatment and / or prophylaxis of vitamin D deficiency

Dosage ADRIGYL 10 000 IU / mL Oral solution in drops Box of 1 Bottle (+ dropper) of 10 ml

Oral way.

Pour the drops in a teaspoon. The drops can be taken pure or mixed in a liquid or semi-liquid food. Do not heat, boil or put in a food that is too hot. It is best not to put the drops in a bottle of water or milk, because the product can be deposited on the wall.

· Vitamin deficiency in children

o Prophylaxis
Its implementation is recommended in all infants and young children, under the current conditions of life in case of insufficient exposure to the sun (ministerial circulars of February 21, 1963 and January 6, 1971) because of the low content of food in vitamin D.

Premature: 3 to 4 drops daily

§ from 0 to 24 months: with milk enriched in vitamin D : 2 to 3 drops per day
without vitamin D fortified milk: 3 to 5 drops a day
with pigmented skin : 7 drops a day

§ child - teenager: without digestive pathology : 2 to 3 drops per day
with a digestive pathology : 2 to 6 drops a day
receiving anti-convulsants : 4 to 6 drops daily

o Treatment
6 to 12 drops per day for 4-6 months or 12 to 24 drops per day for 1-2 months, until normal levels of serum calcium and phosphoremia return to normal by monitoring calciuria to avoid overdose. Do not exceed a total dose of 600 000 IU / year.

· Vitamin deficiency in pregnant women

o Prophylaxis
3 drops daily from the 6th or 7th month.

· Vitamin deficiency in adults and the elderly

o Prophylaxis
2 to 3 drops a day

o Treatment
6 to 60 drops a day until normal return of serum calcium and phosphoremia, monitoring calciuria to avoid an overdose. Do not exceed a total dose of 600 000 IU / year.

Against indications

· Known hypersensitivity to vitamin D;

· Hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, calcium lithiasis.

Adrigyl Adverse Effects

Very rarely and especially in case of overdose (see section Overdose ):

· Hypersensitivity reaction to cholecalciferol,

· Hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, calcium lithiasis.

Reporting of suspected adverse reactions

The reporting of suspected adverse reactions after authorization of the drug is important. It allows continuous monitoring of the benefit / risk ratio of the drug. Health professionals must report any suspected adverse reactions via the national reporting system: National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (Ansm) and the network of Regional Pharmacovigilance Centers.
